It’s FINALLY sweater weather! The weather has cooled down over the last week and all I want to do is wear sweaters and hoodies! This fall, I’ve had a tough time with the transition of seasons. In Kansas City, it was really hot into late September and I struggled putting together outfits that were season and weather appropriate.
Anyway, I’m SO glad it’s feeling like fall now. I’ve been happy to pull out my autumnal clothing; I’ve found a few pieces that I’ve been looking forward to wearing, including this apple sweater! When it was ninety degrees in September, I kept seeing apple sweaters online for fall but, at the time, it was too hot to think about wearing them! I did end up purchasing one and set it aside until it cooled down. As an educator, I was excited to see the apple featured but also a little bit wary…I may have had a flashback to the teacher sweaters from going to elementary school in the 1980s but, with the right styling, I really think you can avoid falling into the teacher sweater trap. 🙂
Out of the three apple sweaters that caught my eye this fall, the one I’m wearing is from Mod Cloth and is the most affordable option. I also really like the classic look of the yoke around the shoulders. I love the quality and cuteness of Kiel James Patrick clothing and their apple sweater is adorable (BONUS! They have matching apple sweaters for the whole family). And finally, Sail to Sable has an adorable graphic apple sweater that is similar in price to the KJP sweater. Each option is a bit different and can be styled so many ways – I feature three styling options below!
